Privacy Policy

The short version

We don't store what you search for or the pages you fetch. We keep only what we need to run your account and bill you, we never sell your data, and we never use it to train models.

What we collect

• Your email - to create your key, reach you about your account, and handle billing.
• Your API key - the credential that identifies your account.
• Usage metadata - which tool you called, when, how many pages it cost, and whether a page needed the more expensive fetch tier. This is for billing and abuse-prevention. It does not include the text of your search or the content of the pages you fetch.
• Payment details - handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

What we do NOT do

• We don't store the text of your queries, or tie the content of what you fetch back to you.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
• We don't use your activity to train AI models or build an advertising profile.

Caching public pages

To stay fast and keep costs low, we may briefly cache the content of public web pages, keyed only by the page's address. This cache is never linked to you, your account, or your queries - it's just a copy of a public page that any later request for that same page can reuse.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run Grounder, such as Stripe (payments) and our cloud hosting. They receive only what they need to provide their service, and only to operate Grounder. We don't share your data for any other purpose. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for billing, tax, and legal reasons. Usage metadata is kept only as long as it's useful for billing and abuse-prevention.

Your choices

You can ask to see the account data we hold, or to delete your account and its data, by emailing [email protected]. You can cancel your subscription anytime from the billing portal.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data. Please help by keeping your API key secret - treat it like a password.

Children

Grounder isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
